Paramount Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Tropic Thunder on 18th November 2008. Ben Stiller (who also directs), Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. star in this action comedy about a group of self-absorbed actors who set out to make the most expensive war film. After ballooning costs force the studio to cancel the movie, the frustrated director refuses to stop shooting, leading his cast into the jungles of Southeast Asia, where they encounter real bad guys.

Available in single-disc theatrical cut and two-disc director’s cut editions, the latter features over 14-minutes of never-before-seen footage and a variety of special features including commentaries and Rain of Madness, a faux documentary on the making of the film.
