More Actors Join Boardwalk Empire 2009/2/14 11:25:03

There's a bunch of casting news to chew on today, according to The Hollywood Reporter. No A-list names, but some interesting projects involved.

The first of which is Martin Scorsese's drama pilot for HBO, Boardwalk Empire, which already stars Steve Buscemi as Nucky Johnson, a guy who runs a liquor-distribution ring, and Michael Pitt as his bagman Jimmy Darmody . Aleksa Palladino is joining the group playing Jimmy's wife, Angela. Paul Sparks (Rachel Getting Married) will play a bootlegging funeral director. Shea Whigham (Tigerland), will play Nucky's corrupt brother, Eli, and Anthony Laciura will play Nucky's assistant, Eddie.

Rob Brown (Stop-Loss) has joined in on the show Treme, which is HBO's new drama that "that chronicles the rebuilding of New Orleans through the eyes of local musicians. Brown will play Delmond, a New York jazz musician who reluctantly returns to his native New Orleans."
