Martin Freeman Heads Hobbit Cast 2010/10/23 10:40:09

British amateur Martin Freeman will brilliant as Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson's two-part adjustment of The Hobbit, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Freeman, who starred on the U.K. adaptation of The Office, is "exactly like Bilbo and I feel abundantly appreciative to be able to advertise that he is our Hobbit," Jackson said in a statement.

Joining Freeman in the activity are Richard Armitage, Aidan Turner, Rob Kazinsky, Graham McTavish, John Callen, Stephen Hunter, Mark Hadlow and Peter Hambleton — all of whom will comedy roles as allotment of the Company of Dwarves. Armitage, who stars on the U.K. alternation MI-5 and will arise in Captain America: The First Avenger, will comedy Thorin Oakenshield, the baton of the Company of Dwarves.

Lord of the Rings stars Ian McKellen and Andy Serkis are accepted to acknowledgment as Gandalf and Gollum, respectively.

After a continued adjournment due to costs and activity disputes, The Hobbit was green-lit aftermost week. Jackson, who helmed the Lord of the Rings trilogy, will additionally serve as biographer and producer. Filming is appointed to activate in February.
