'Grey's Anatomy' actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan and 'One Tree Hill' actress Hilarie Burton surprised everyone a few months ago when it was revealed that not only were they dating, they had a baby together!

And for the first time since the couple made their first public outing, Burton is talking--just a little bit--about her new family.

According to UsMagazine, the actress, 28, recently told the Associated Press that she and Morgan are, "really happy, and we're a very good team. And we got very lucky that our family is what it is."

And though it's widely known the couple has a son, when pressed, the actress wouldn't reveal his birthday or name. "I want to protect them like a mama wolf should," she explained.

The couple's been dating since sometime in 2009. Burton wasn't photographed between May 6, 2009 and April 20, 2010, when she and Morgan, 44, went public with their romance at the 'Losers' premiere in Los Angeles-potentially explaining why the baby's birth was under the radar.

This is Burton's first child and Morgan's second. He found out in March 2009 that he had a son with actress Sherri Ross.
