Grey's Anatomy's creator Shonda Rhimes has suggested that she is not planning any more traumatic storylines for Callie and Arizona in Season 8.

In the recent season, the duo broke up and got back together after Callie became pregnant.

The pair were also in a car accident which prompted the premature birth of Callie's baby, and got married towards the end of the season.

Rhimes has now suggested that they will have an easier time when Grey's Anatomy returns for its new season.

"I think they've earned the right for us to enjoy them as a couple and to enjoy them as mothers," she said.

However, Rhimes said viewers will also see the duo "juggle what motherhood means to their relationship, their sex life and their jobs".
