In another casting coup for “90210,” Show Tracker just got confirmation from The CW that former “Gilmore Girls” actor Scott Patterson has been cast as Liam’s biological father.

“90210’s” show runner, Rebecca Sinclair, was a producer on “Gilmore Girls,” and the industry has been looking for her to bring that magic to the new ZIP Code. The media bounced around Scott Patterson's name in 2008, as “90210” was still firming up its cast, to play Wilson dad Harry. That role, of course, went to Rob Estes. This news follows another high-profile casting earlier this year, when Sinclair brought on former model and film actress Kelly Lynch to play Ivy’s mother.

Patterson spent seven years on “Gilmore Girls,” his character in a tumultuous relationship with lead character Lorelai Gilmore, played by Lauren Graham.
