The Shannara Chronicles Season 1 DVD Box Set:The Shannara Chronicles is a new American sci-fi and fantasy television drama series that is set to premiere soon on the MTV channel in the United States. The new sci-fi adventure is based on the popular fantasy book series Shannara written by Terry Brooks. Initially, Jon Favreau was invited to the director's chair for the project, but he later declined and decided to get involved with the producing work instead. Several episodes will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman, who became internationally well-known after his project "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." The screenplay for the new TV project was co-created by Miles Millar and Alfred Gough who already previously collaborated on worked on the fantastic feature movie I Am Number Four. Season 1 of the new series is expected to be released in the US in January 2016.The Shannara Chronicles Season 1 of the new sci-fi drama is expected to consist of 10 sixty-minute episodes. The shooting of fantasy series with gorgeous scenery and visual effects just finished up in New Zealand and the appearance of many scenes resembles Lord of the Rings. From the series we learn about the epic battles that take place throughout the history of the emergence and existence of the Four Lands and visit the fantasy world, where people make a long-standing war with evil demonic creatures that inhabit this magical kingdom. The new series stars Manu Bennett, Ivana Baquero, Poppy Drayton, Austin Butler and John Rhys-Davies.
